DIO's "Finding The Sacred Heart – Live In Philly 1986" DVD will be released on May 28 via Eagle Vision.

"Finding The Sacred Heart – Live In Philly 1986" was filmed at The Spectrum in Philadelphia on June 17, 1986 during the second leg of the "Sacred Heart" tour, which featured new guitarist Craig Goldy. The show was issued in an edited form first on VHS and then DVD. Now for the first time the full concert is being released in the original running order, restored from the original 16mm film and with remastered sound. It's an extraordinary live show with a giant animatronic dragon towering over the stage and spectacular lasers and pyrotechnics. Ronnie James Dio is in fine voice as ever and the band deliver a blistering live performance featuring tracks from their first three albums alongside BLACK SABBATH and RAINBOW classics.

"Finding The Sacred Heart – Live In Philly 1986" track listing:

01. Draco Ignis
02. King Of Rock And Roll
03. Like The Beat Of A Heart
04. Don't Talk To Strangers
05. Hungry For Heaven
06. Medley: 'The Last In Line / Children Of The Sea / Holy Diver / The Last In Line (reprise)
07. Drum Solo
08. Heaven And Hell
09. Keyboard Solo
10. Guitar Solo
11. Sacred Heart
12. Medley: Rock 'n' Roll Children / Long Live Rock 'n' Roll / Man On The Silver Mountain / Rock 'n' Roll Children (reprise)
13. Time To Burn
14. Stand Up And Shout
15. Rainbow In The Dark
01. We Rock

Bonus features include:

* "Sacred Heart Tour" Featurette
* Interview '86
* Interview with Ronnie & Craig
* "Rock 'n' Roll Children" music video
* Behind The Scenes

"Finding The Sacred Heart – Live In Philly 1986" will also be released on Blu-ray, CD and LP.

DIO's lineup on the DVD:

Ronnie James Dio - Vocals
Jimmy Bain - Bass
Vinny Appice - Drums
Craig Goldy - Guitar
Claude Schnell - Keyboards

Will have to get this my dvd copy is NTSC, so it would be good to have it in PAL Very Happy

Hell yes!!!!

I've been wanting this since FOREVER!

The best release since Ronnies passing in my view. I have the heavily edited DVD but have always wanted the full show.

This has made my day.

Hey Oli,

Good to see you here. This release got my interest, too. I only have the Special from Spectrum on VHS. DVDs are from Aldrich, 2000s. This looks promising. Do you know if it will be released here in US ?

Hey Jeffrey!

It's been a while since I've been around, lots going on but hope to be back a bit more often now!

I can't tell you how excited I am about this release - it's the one thing I've always hoped would be released. My first ever Dio love show was the Sacred Heart show in the UK and I always wanted to see it in its unedited glory. I have a bootleg of the show I attended, the guy recording it was stood next to me so I made sure I got a copy.....it's the only bootleg I have ever owned and now I will be able to watch the show in its full glory........best news ever. Interesting to see its not mentioned over on the "official" site - muppets.

Jeffrey - I hope it gets released in the US.....maybe worth a look at Amazon.com?

I'm torn.. On the one hand, I really want this, I've been waiting for it for such a long time! On the other, I don't want Mrs Gimenez to get a single cent from me.
Ah dilemmas.

I guess Mrs Gimenez is Dio's Widow. Hey, that sounds like a good name for a Dio cover band.

Is this release from anyone working for Niji? Seems like they have done very little to sell Dio music since we lost him.

Good to hear from you Oli, Hamalane.

Hey Jeffrey

This isn't a Niji release, thank god else it would be a rehash on vinyl or an overpriced rehashed t-shirt.

It will be available in the US the day after Europe apparently.

Oli

EXcellent,

DVD and Blu Ray will be released , right? Figures Niji didn't have this release. So much work, so many years Dio made music. You'd think his catalog of music and video would keep Niji busy for years to come. The Doors still sell over 1 million albums a year, and Morrison died in 1971. But I think their label works to keep quality releases, "new" material available. What a disappointment. I don't even expect much from the Magica 2 recordings. Not holding my breath anyway.

You still riding the motorbike, or have you started bicycling? Haven't got back on a motorcycle yet. Still miss it.

Rock on Oli.

Hey Jeffrey

Yeah, still on the motorbike.......although weather here is all over the place right now so it's not always safe to ride.

Niji are a joke, recycling the same old stuff and turning the offices site, Facebook and twitter into a sales ad......on and on it goes. At some point they will go under and to be honest it will be nothing less than they deserve.

The promise of "new" material has never come good but nothing less than expected - Dean is a dick, end of.

Anyway - Jeffrey, will drop you a pm tomorrow as I have rehearsal with my band My Never Time tonight.

Speak soon

Oli
